These terms are the agreement between you and Shortic. By using the service you accept them.
Shortic is operated by Reshaped, an auto-entrepreneur registered in France. You can reach us at [email protected].
Shortic is an online video editing service. You upload video and use the tools we provide to produce an edited result you can download. Some features use artificial intelligence - see what that means for you below.
We may change, add or remove features. If a change materially reduces what you have paid for, you may cancel and we will refund the unused part of your subscription.
You need an account, and you must be at least 15 years old to have one. Keep your credentials to yourself; you are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else is using it.
You may close your account at any time. Doing so deletes your projects and the content behind them.
You keep all rights in the content you upload and in what you create with it. You grant us a limited licence to host and process that content solely to provide the service to you. The licence ends when you delete the content or close your account.
By uploading, you confirm that:
You may not upload content that is unlawful, that sexualises children, that incites violence or hatred, that harasses someone, that misleadingly impersonates a real person, or that you have no right to use. We may remove content that breaches this and suspend or close accounts that do so.
You may not attempt to disrupt or misuse the service: no reverse engineering, no scraping, no circumventing limits, no reselling access, and nothing that puts the service at risk for other users.
Paid plans and any usage limits that apply to them are described in the service, and the cost of an action is shown before you commit to it. We may change our prices; a change will not affect the billing cycle you are already in.
Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You may cancel at any time from your billing page and will keep access until the end of the cycle you have paid for. Prices are shown inclusive of any tax that applies to you, and payments are taken by our payment provider.
Right of withdrawal. If you are a consumer in the EU you normally have fourteen days to change your mind. Because the service begins as soon as you ask it to, you request immediate performance and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once we have begun. Anything you have not used remains refundable within those fourteen days.
If something goes wrong on our side and you are charged for work you did not receive, tell us and we will put it right.
Some features are produced using artificial intelligence. Output of that kind can be inaccurate or unsuitable, so you can review and change the result before you export it.
You are responsible for what you publish. Check your work before it goes out. We do not warrant that generated output is accurate, original, or fit for any particular purpose.
We do not guarantee that the service will be available at all times. It may be unavailable for maintenance, or because of a fault or a problem with a provider we depend on. We do not offer an uptime commitment or service credits.
Keep your own copy of anything you value. Your original files should not exist only here.
You may stop using Shortic and close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, and will tell you why unless the law prevents us.
If we discontinue the service we will give you at least thirty days’ notice so you can export your work, and refund the unused part of any subscription.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights under French and EU law are unaffected.
Otherwise, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss of data, and our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period.
We may update these terms. For a material change we will give you at least thirty days’ notice, and you may close your account instead of accepting it.
These terms are governed by French law and the French courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer you keep the protection of the law of the country you live in and may bring proceedings in your own courts. You may also use the European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform.
